Fine Print 03:05
Crescent Moon: I told you all I got to tell you, sang a little somethin’ And I sold you all I got to sell you, now I got nothin’ But a pocket full of “hmmm, what was I thinkin? What was I drinkin’?,” Night sky sinkin’ in the Ever-fading dawn, tresspassin’ on oblivion Split me into dividends but turn the key and let me in Knock, knock, knockin’ on the door to rock bottom If it opens got problems, if it’s locked I’m not stoppin’ ‘Cause I came just a little too far To be pulling over and parking the car I ain’t had sleep since last November n’ I ain’t gave a fuck since I can’t remember when Better get a picture, I’m walking out the frame With a dagger in my back and a dollar to my name Stagger in my tracks, swallow all the flames Tryin’ to wake the sleepwalkers, they’ll follow all the same Joe Horton: Copper in my veins, scrap-metal shakedown One too many numbers got me wonderin' how some stop the itch Can't put your finger on it just to scratch it then that's it Back to the button, push mindless Plus, minus, one, zero, yes your highness CM:It seems you’ve arrived with the spies that supplied us Now we’re all fine with the rules that confine us Defined by the climate, designed by the fine print JH: Did you read the fine print? CM: Naw man, but I signed it JH: Well soon you’ll be reciting it like poetry Hand over your heart, fingers crossed up your spine Codename nothing, get ready for assignment Both: Silent, silent, I will be silent Speak when spoken to, never be defiant Focused, focused, I will be focused Only think positive, block out the hopeless Patient, patient, I will be patient Take my medication, wonder where the day went Famous, famous, one day I’ll be famous Then all the pretty people will remember what my name is JH: Codename “Nothing” Got a million dollars in my body if you chop me up Sold my nose for a facelift but it was still worth it ‘Cause one day I’ll be famous instead of being worthless Searchin’ for a purpose, tryin’ to decorate the feedback Cheek my medication, maybe I don’t really need that A peek behind the curtain gives me reason to believe That all my demons are reflections of deceptions I’ve received Downloaded, overloaded the ghost in my machine That made me comatosed, designed a new subroutine Both: Trippin’, going on an ego trip, drip, drippin’ Must be how the needle skipped, landed diff’rent But I know who my people is and their not Where the evil lives, we don’t need no (2x)

Both: Walking down the street with my head between my knees Need to watch my back so I keep it right in front of me People that I meet get the product that they need I’m a profit from the streets I’m a product of my company (Prophet from the streets, product of my company 4x) Joe Horton: Pocket full of money got stung by the money bug Gutter punk customers, nothing much to fuss about Cussin’ loud, announcing my presence like a thunderstorm Profit from the company I keep and keep my seat warm Left out ‘ never that ‘ been to hell and back I can’t relax until this psychopathic bastard gets his hazard pay Satisfaction isn’t cheap ‘ freedom isn’t either So I gut the mattresses of all the happiest believers ‘ Crescent Moon: They got me dancin’ down the poverty line- follow me blind Oh yes, I know child, no child left behind So convince me the system is for me and not against me Put simply: if I ain’t broken don’t crucifix me Up with a fix or another hit of punishment But its just a supplement if government is runnin’ it My tongue’ll lick the last drop of medicine Dependent on the dosage, determined to get fed again Both: Walking down the street with my head between my knees Need to watch my back so I keep it right in front of me People that I meet get the product that they need (I’m a profit from the streets I’m a product of my company x4) JH: Working like a dog ‘ living like middle management Handling menial tasks for a boss who takes me for granted On the come up ‘ standing still is blasphemous ‘ Ladder’s filled with lit fuses thinking they’re candle-wicks Let loose with the rest of the refuse While I’m killing myself to serve up something nice to step to Suicide ‘ sexy though/ Who am I to stop me? I’d rather die a spectacle than live with no one watching CM: Got me reaching in my pocket for product that turns a profit I promise one day I’ll stop it as long as I’m not one on it Conscious of contradictions I’m living- always conflicted Imprisoned by decisions that I’ve made to spread the sickness Can I get a witness-protection program Delivered to my front door and some form of forgiveness? But really what’s a crime if everybody does it So scrap the remorse get back to servicin’ the public

Crescent Moon: Hit the road with my gunny sack, lost highway Ain’t no coming back, tryin’ to keep my brain out the money trap Funny that nobody’s laughin’ ‘Cause bad jokes be the marquee main attraction Step right up, who’s next in line? I’ll guess your age, your weight, your debt, I guess you’re fine Hit the express lane, you’re pressed for time You won’t accept it, fine, I’ll guess you’ll get left behind Joe Horton: Justify the crime rate/ guilty as a jailbird sneaking down the fire escape Black hand salute, what’s the use in gettin’ irate? Nothing Futile revolution stuck half awake Master pun ‘ Fractal Half undone and so on Nuance lost on a pack of vandals subsuming the protoplasmic mass sucking their categories stupid [Can’t stop now man, we’re used to it] Both: Still (still) standing, standing still Still standing, standing still Still standing, still Killing time while waiting on a plane to crash land in CM: Never no more/ settle the score That’s how I weathered the storm, it made me better than the better before Searching for whatever is pure I told my main man it’s time to get together for sure JH: Yea rain can cleanse the doors of perception if and when the feather duster doesn’t work so let’s combine forces Form our own storm ‘ Desecrate separation Celebrate mixed blood ‘ Can’t escape the flood CM: Blame it on the music the masses have been influenced by I can call it foolish but fools’ll be thinkin’ who am I Maybe I stay cool with whatever it produces So pick it up (pick it up), pick it up into the bluest (sky) JH: Sky hook, no balls, nothing but net Commentator sweating with a noose around his neck The lights are getting dimmer and the tint is getting rosy The referees are cheap all of em are spoken for Playing for exposure Composure don’t break It ain’t a crooked deal if you make it with a straight face No place safe for me to hide out So Imma sit right here and pray I get mine now Both: Still (still) standing, standing still Still standing, standing still Still standing, still Killing time while waiting on a plane to crash land in

Dead Weight 03:38
Both: Blurry eye, big sky, radiator rib cage Pig sty, dirty mind, lucid as a mood swing Lips sink ships, letter home better float Never know when the boat is gonna fold from the dead weight Head case, head south, head, shoulders, knees, toes Lead-based paint chip, chip on your shoulder now Cold bath romance, procreate the poster child Older now, time to hold it down for the sober crowd Joe Horton: Got my doppelganger standing by Same feral tounge, same Pheromones, same alibi Same guilty hunch, same narrow bones You know the type, all take me home and make me moan In saintly robes and I’ll mistake my confidence for truth There’s nothing left to do but tell the martyrs that they’re screwed They paid too much to make that Jabberwocky holler at the moon Squalor cooks the doom powder proper No refunds, no problems, shadows burn the brightest in the hollows Crescent Moon: Follow me down the path, follow me up the block Don’t follow my tracks too close, don’t follow my tracks at all You finally found a way, finally found a home You finally changed your face, now face all your fears unknown The pendulum swings my fate, deliver it with a smile Or leave it here at the gate, I’ll get it after a while The freedom returns to pain, you gain a ghost At most from chasing smoke, must’ve followed my tracks too close Both: Blurry eye, big sky, radiator rib cage Pig sty, dirty mind, lucid as a mood swing Lips sink ships, letter home better float Never know when the boat is gonna fold from the dead weight Head case, head south, head, shoulders, knees, toes Lead-based paint chip, chip on your shoulder now Cold bath romance, procreate the poster child Older now, time to hold it down for the sober crowd Both Alternating: Super-liminal thought police, fools taught to speak double Speak subtle, breathe muddled Jesus when you see trouble See trouble leave and there’s a heathen in your tongue in cheek Believing in the secrets you get steeped in when you’re young and cheap Deep puddle, shallow grave/ Feet shuffle all the same High noon burned us long gone but the shadow stays Nobody ever says a prayer for the static prey They hunt what they don’t have to chase and serve it on a plastic plate Don’t look back, there’s another one coming/ Another one following your tracks

Joe Horton: Only got one story to tell It’s boring as hell, devil’s in the embellishment Over time it calcifies into a definite Real life rendering of the truth as I invented it Assembled from fine specs of deception Dry layer of sediment filtering my perception Idol specimen, obsessive with the testament Slave to the narrative frame, scraping a straight line on waves in a particle phase begging for space time Disguises come in all shapes and sizes Tried some on, none fit, no surprises Mothership strip naked of shame to spread the virus Crescent Moon: How long must I wait for the good rest? Feels like I’m following the footsteps a crook left Like I picked out the storybook that looked best Feels like the lovely’s bout as ugly as it could get Take another glance in the rearview The past must be callin’ because nobody’s near you Nobody’s here to deny or adhere to The heavy heart strugglin’ the slow years have pierced through Think that I have it / blinked and it vanished Must be carrying enough guilt to sink the Titanic You cool like you planned it, no signs of panic It would take another lifetime to calculate the damage Take me for a ride, take me for granted, I still can manage But how you gonna stand if the earth, wind and sands shift? Freefall, reckless abandon If the truth is an illusion then there won’t be much to land in Both: Walking through strangers we all know well, Everybody’s got a story to tell Bottle full of empty and a secret to sell, Everybody’s got a story to tell The bottom swallows every wish in the well, Everybody’s got a story to tell Busy talking ‘bout the day that they fell, Everybody’s got a story to tell Toki Wright: Another story that I said, don't want to pull your leg The other day I bumped my head, thought I was surely dead Well here I am again, I’m rambling It seems the river dried, now I'm on land again To search for wear the dam begins I’ve got a plan to win, but have to count my losses I know the ugly that resides in all I thought was gorgeous I know the beauty that resides in all I thought was ugly I love the art and know I’ve got to get some fucking money Because my daughter hungry, and this is how my life was spent To write the quip to show you that my life exists I spent another night a trifle bit bent And knew I had to write to this and so I vent

Kristoff Krane: I-I-I’m following the ritual, learning how to give in to the wind, this is beautiful Joe Horton: I-I-I’m Following the ritual, learning how to settle in my skin, unconditional Crescent Moon: I-I-I’m following the ritual of learning how to listen to the wisdom of the different stroke All: How bout that, what you didn’t know? I-I-eyes wide open but my vision’s blown KK: I’m thankful too, mistakes-I made a few More lessons for the brain, deja vu Synchronicity occurs in a blur When the energy inside of me burns for the world As it turns on the side of the bed (I awoke) iI was right, went outside, felt the sun help me grow May we go with the flow, raindrop in a wave Up and down with the changes, I pray from my heart space JH: It was great in the start Iffy in the middle, nothing special in the end Man you should’ve seen it, wish that I could see you Thanks for the test, I’m better for the practice, lighter in the head Epiphany tucked in the blood-dark segment of the spectrum I invent until it’s effortless Slowly getting past the act of measurement Sharpen my attention, cut to on the other side CM: Live from the front lines, can’t turn back (back) Devil on my back and a crack in my heart attack Wrong side of the tracks, lost track of the tracks Off the map (off the map), Where you at? I put that on my name, I put that on the A train I put that on my fake gold chain in the 8th grade Food court pimp bumping Too $hort Limpin’ with a Newport, smoke all in my eye All Alternating: I-I-I’m following the ritual/ swimming in the color wheel ‘ black and white this I know Caveman suffers for survival of the fire Modern homosapien extinguishing desire Turn the ashes back into the fuel it admires Climbing up the family tree we’re always getting higher Closer to the roots/ food for the future Sober as it looks/ welcome to the new world Order from the courtroom/ judge for my mind Born into believing I’ll die, like theres a permanent design KK: I-I-I’m following the ritual/ Learning how to give in to the wind this is beautiful JH: I-I-I’m Following the ritual learning how to settle in my skin unconditional CM: I-I-I’m following the ritual of learning how to listen to the wisdom of the different stroke All: How bout that / what you didn’t know I-I- eyes wide open but my vision’s blown

All: Some keys fit the lock, some keys didn’t I’m a pick the lock, run free with ‘em Reminds me of the ones we lost, ones we didn’t Some keys fit the lock, some keys didn’t Tongue speak to wisdom, sun-bleached fiction Wisdom didn’t listen, unclean prison Reminds me of the ones we lost, ones we didn’t Some keys fit the lock, some keys didn’t Crescent Moon: Don’t think too long about it or it won’t be worth remembering And then the things we cherish perish in the cold November brings But who am I to tell you what you should or shouldn’t What you could or couldn’t, thought you would but wouldn’t Walk the plank without the blindfold, must’ve had your eyes closed Prob’ly sleepwalking down the corridor that time goes High hopes, low brows, low blows, cold crowds No doubt, the sun shines the brightest 'fore it’s blown out Joe Horton: The only sound, a voice inside your ears Counting down the seconds in the dark before you disappear It isn’t clear what you are or how you got here Angry at the pastor for the static hiss distraction One should not fear anything, empathy, set me free Lesser devils heckle for the hell of it Let em be irrelevant, don’t believe in deficits Learn to see the elephant standing in his shadow redefining bright Cecil Otter: Now something isn’t sitting right, when you hit the lights Those butterflies you kept in jars had suffocated in the night Living like some distant light that knows to keep his distance like He knows that he’s been missing life he holds the keys and gets the kites Must been the knife inside the back that kept you from the crowds And in the clouds and left you with a thousand ways of splitting town Drinking down the hours you hide away and cut you down With lookalikes and woolen eyes that like to look you up and down
9.
Joe Horton: There you go again, thinking I’m someone else If I believed in you I couldn’t trust myself I can see me too And I don’t have to like it Kill time ‘ resurrect the future Stumble in a stupor of delusional excuses Lies get me through the day ‘ Truth’ll get me lucid Hallucination music 7 for a breakup Choppin’ up the blacktop Can’t stop the wind from blowing never know when you’ll get swept up Best not predict it I wouldn’t mind except my climate’s smitten blind with its own imprint Add a couple pages to the wish list I was afraid of losing face until I lost my friend Didn’t know I had a heart until my chest caved in Carving shadows in the pavement Sun sets, even the best day ends Both: See things clear Reflection is deception Peace is a shattered mirror Deface fear Deception is a weapon Peace is a shattered mirror Crescent Moon: Everyday I’m rollin’ with my own worst enemy, flashbacks and memories Essentially, we ain’t friends, just pretend to be Thicker than thieves, never been free, Evidently he knows me better than me Can’t get his voice out my head, Pull the loose thread to unravel every syllable I’ve ever said It’s such a mess ain’t it, stress, regret, hatred If it wasn’t for my daughter I’d have just gave in You can get it straight from the animal’s mouth Or just sit, waitin’ patient while the planet go ‘round I’ve been holding on so tight to things intangible, how? It’s black smoke when the candle blows out Blackout, blackout, I ran away but I’m Back now, back now It’s front page if I had clout, had clout But I don’t, so I’ll play the background Both: See things clear Reflection is deception Peace is a shattered mirror Deface fear Deception is a weapon Peace is a shattered mirror
10.
Crescent Moon: If I only knew back then the things I know now The things that always stay the same the things that go ‘round I would hold ‘em like a weapon and shield for my protection And accept it if I step into the low down Joe Horton: If I only dig for treasure when the tide’s low Then the sea won’t ever swallow up my high hopes There’s an ocean to explore but if I sit here on the shore I’ll be bored into believing I can find gold CM: If I only put my vision to the clear sky Then I’ll never know when thunderstorms are nearby So I’m a take in all the scenery, don’t blame me for the thievery Just let me be in silence while the gears grind Both: Don’t bring that run around ‘round here no more (3x) Sing your song right to my front door JH: Made best friends with every single feather in my headdress Neglected naked birds until they turned into necklaces Yes, let’s collect our sins, confess each one in confidence The squawking gets louder, it’s impolite to acknowledge it Follow the trickle of blood up the bridge of your nose, see where it goes There’s a thumb tack in your dunce cap for every compliment you stole Swallowing you whole is only half the cost of being too attached to your albatross hat, face facts CM: Face facts, been making my own way since way, way back And said a lot of things that I can’t never take back There ain’t no such thing as safe paths Just lay tracks and blaze past The day casts its shadows on the gallows Hang your head in shame when you walk past, these sacred grounds are hallowed Don’t hit me with the runaround or tall tales your spun around The thunder drowns the sound of this town being dismantled JH: Left, right, all in together now The real war is letting go of what we can’t control How many visionaries does it take to for us see down Deep into the depths of our obsession with ourselves CM: Left, right, all in together now They took it from us, sold it back to us and called it better, how? Smoke, mirrors, let the dust settle down You’ll finally see the irony in thinking you’re on level ground JH: Left, right , all in together now None of us are special, some play the part CM: Left, right, all in together now Some bleed gasoline others play the spark Both: Left, right, all in together now (4x)
